Biomarkers of Biological Brain Aging 2023–2027

Developing and validating biomarkers capable of robustly capturing age-related biological changes in the brain, combining structural MRI and PET-derived features for brain-age prediction, and comparing the clinical utility of publicly available brain-age software packages.

This is the PhD project of Ruben P. Dörfel ("Bridging neuroimaging and machine learning for aging biomarker discovery: Method development, validation and clinical application"), enrolled 20 November 2023 at the Neurobiology Research Unit, co-supervised with Anton Forsberg Morén, Pontus Plavén-Sigray and Jonas Svensson (Karolinska Institutet).
